Basic Word – will provide an overview of: orientation of the Word screen, using the help feature, understanding word warp, deleting and restoring text, use the toolbar, spell checking, auto correct, thesaurus, templates, commands for a short document – margins, date command, fonts, and commands for a long document – center text, flush right text, page numbering, selecting text, copying and moving text.  After this course you will be able to create a basic Word document with simple formatting.

Intermediate Word – will provide an overview of: More formatting – justification, headers, footers, footnotes, endnotes, line spacing, find and replace feature, bulleted lists, symbols, modifying toolbars, working with multiple documents.  After this course you will be able to create a long document with detailed formatting, multi-level outlines, and customize your document window.

Advanced Word – will provide an overview of: creating, editing, and formatting tables, mail merging letters, envelopes, and labels, mail merging with an Excel spreadsheet and an Access database, along with sorting mailing lists, creating and editing macros.  After this course you will be able to perform mail merges, create spreadsheet like tables within Word, link to an Excel spreadsheet and/or an Access database, and create macros to automate repetitious tasks.
